I love her plushes (artist that also did the picture above).
Makes me want to create and sew something wonderful.

Can We Read?

Why yes, I'd love to read to you while sitting on a mushroom my little octopus pet ^___^! LOVE the matching hats too. Another wonderful piece by Brandi Milne. Go see her at Copro Nason for the rest of her "Wonderland" pieces! Prepare yourself for cute-ness overload.

lord, am i lazy or what.

Did I ever mention that I love Jim Houser?
Because I do.

I'm pretty (really really) pissed I missed his show at Merry Karnowsky.
I feel so out of touch with the world lately...
but that's for my other blog.

I suck as updating.
Sorry :[

Octosushi

Paintings by Ana Bagayan. Like most artists that I enjoy, shes got the "super cute with a touch of morbid" thing going on. A combo that can't go wrong.

Funny time to run into this piece by Evan B. Harris. I've been trying to get my piano playing skills back.

powerful suckers

A painting by Brian M. Viveros found (once again) by Sleepboy. I'm in lust over the bruises and bleeding from the suckers. Nice touch. Or suck I guess.

A Cabinet Of Natural Curiosities

credit to sleepboy for this update, heh. Thanks!
The above is one of the pieces done by cutie, Junko Mizuno, for her new show down (or up? to the right) in Seattle.
And...

...might as well take this opportunity to show off a sketch Luke got for me :P

Limited edition print by KozynDan called Tales of Bunnyfish. Notice the (somewhat) hidden bunny-fish creatures dwelling on the bottom. Available for purchase here.

'Cause ya know... squids gotta make that dough too.
Another successful finding from Luke. Thanks! Do enjoy the rest of the curious zoology by Hannah Moore :)

With Valentine's day (unfortunately) fast approaching... I found these drawings by Ben Lawson to fit the occasion quite nicely.

dose of design

Impressive 8-color (that's a lot) silkscreen by Design Medicine. While you're there, check out all the other neat-o prints they have.

*scurred*

Greg "Craola" Simkin's mixing it up in "Other Alice meets her White Rabbit" (first photo). "Unbottled", which I believe isn't available anymore (unless you steal mine), has our special little friend hiding in the background. Love this guy. Always a jaw-dropper.

family ties

View more of Dan Hillier's family here.

Aren't they precious?

octosquid?

"Octopuss Ink" by Stuntkid. Print available for sale at BlueFlip Art. I find the fact that this octopus has two tentacles a little odd... but it's still quite the cutie.

octopussy

Luke Chueh's "Octopussy".
Of course the one he drew for me (view first post) is way better... but this is just as cute too. ^__^

Updating slowly... but surely.

Nature of Water

My trip down to Gallery Nucleus for the Nature of Water (Bruce Lee inspired) show gave me the opportunity to meet the lovely Ver Mar! On top of that, she was wearing a sexy octopus pendant that she crafted herself. We share the same love <3
Inside the gallery was also... (photo courtesy of g.Nucleus)
This is a painting called "Yummy Sea" by Miso. I love the use of glitter; it attracted the part of me that's drawn to shiny things.

Meat porn?

Um.

First of all, I'm not turned on by this (get your mind outta my gutter folks) but it is hella cool. Remco van den Bosch has a thing for naked chicks with like... an octopus in her mouth. Be sure to browse the gallery to find other meats like piggies, fishes, and skinless bunnies.

Bon Appetite!
